On Saturday morning, April 16 we will have the fourth running of the "RU RUn: RUnning Over Addiction" for the second year in a row we will run it in memory of my good buddy, and our fellow student, Danny Downes. Danny lost his life in his fight against addiction, but suffered well so that other might live!
To know Danny was to be loved.
Our area continues to be racked by all forms of addictions, and this run has helped our addiction abstinence program, Reformers Unanimous, gain necessary funds to continue to help change our community. In addition, it has been a great way for us to raise community awareness to the growing dangers of addiction.
This a family fun 5K and kids' 1 mile fun run. If you can walk, stroll, run, jog, bike, or simply enjoy community events this is the place for you.
